a paris breakfast
i am not
a breakfast person.
i usually just
get a cup
or two
of tea
down
before
i rush out
the door
(usually late).
but
i could
get use
to breakfast
in paris.
our friends
(the same ones
who have
a place
in sea ranch)
own an apartment
on île saint-louis.
they have
a perfect
little table
by the window
that looks
out onto
a courtyard.
the softness
of the light
on the table
is magical.
grub would
go out early
to get
croissants
and
a pain au chocolat
and
we'd sit
by the window
with a pot
of
mariage frères tea
and take
the morning in.
slowly.
perfect.
more soon.

Your description put such a lovely image in my mind. I hope you are having a wonderful time...I'm pretty sure that's the case! Beautiful Polaroid.

It looks wonderful!
sounds like perfection to me. oh, i want to go back right now!
Gwen-love this post!
France is the only place where I ever ate a regular breakfast :)
I can't wait to see all of your lovely photos and read your words about your adventure.
Thanks for sharing with us.
that sounds absolutely perfect. i'm loving your photos and i can't wait to see more!
it's amazing to get to slow down and eat breakfast.... always feels like a treat. and how could it not be great in paris?
im slowing falling in love with bugheart the blog ... :)
Oh man, this is my idea of heaven. When we were in Paris we would go out early to buy croissants and baguette too. I wish I could have a Paris breakfast every morning ... though I would probably gain a lot of weight.
When I'm on holiday I feel the same, breakfasts are so special when you take it in a leisurely way watching the world go by...refreshing!
