although
the weather
has been
beautiful
and
grub is
now here,
i have been
sick all
week...
uninspired
to photograph
or write.
grub has
been investigating
all the different
grocery stores,
liquor stores
and markets...
bringing home
different cheeses,
terrines
of unknown animals
{until we look it up},
and
vegetables of
all varieties.
yesterday
i began
to feel better
and
grub & i looked
at an amazing
apartment
{kept your fingers
crossed for us!}...
in the evening,
after the
apartment visit,
we sat in the
kitchen and
shelled
fava beans
and
cranberry beans
(photo above)
in the waning light.
he found
wild asparagus
at the market
so he sauteed
the asparagus
and paired
it with fresh
sheep's milk
ricotta,
some fava beans,
olive oil
and onions
for
our evening meal.
it felt like
i was eating
the essence
of spring.
more soon.

feeling
a little
quiet
over here.
seems
like
i am not
the only one...
i am at
a loss for
words
lately...
feeling
introspective.
perhaps
i always
feel this way
with the
change of seasons.

so much to do.
so much that
i am behind on...
lots of
changesin
bloglandmake me
wonder
about
the public me
and
the private me...
the person
i think that
i am
and
the person that
i am...
miss old friends
that are
far away
but am
so grateful
for connecting
with friends
i didn't
realize
were
there all
along.

thank you
all
for being there.
thanks
for being
patient
with me.
until tomorrow.

{york, pennsylvania}
although i love
music
and
listen to it
constantly,
i don't like
to wear headphones
when i
am out and about-
commuting or
walking around.
my dad calls
the people
who always
have
their
headphones
on
"pod people"
me,
i like to
just listen...
in the metro
each day
i usually
knit or sketch
and listen
to sounds-
people talking...
the sound
of the metro
squeaking along...
spring is
my favorite
time of year
to keep
my ears open.
i can hear
the birds
and squirrels
getting more
active...
birds courting
sweethearts...
i swear that
i can hear
the buds burst
and
the caterpillars
start to chew.
as i walked
to the metro
from school
this evening
it was like
i could hear
dusk fall...
the quietness
that descends
on the day
like
a fog.
although
i am not
a musical person,
i feel like
there are
so many
amazing sounds
to hear...
it's a shame
not to
keep
your ears open.
but
now and then
i am cranky
and i also
put my headphones
on.
are your
ears open?
what are
you hearing?
. . . . .
here are some
collage tags
and postcards
in the works

and
a finished one

along with
some others
up in my
etsy storeif you want one
for your
very own.
have a
lovely evening.
xo

do you remember
how you felt
when you
were a kid...
after
a day of being
in the sun
or swimming
all day?
face burning warm
and
body all
achey tired?

that's
how i feel.
. . . . .
march already?
hope you are
seeing the first
signs of spring...
my purses are
looking
much more
like spring...

{for
62cherry}

{yellow bird}
back to
the lab...
more purses
and
sketches
tomorrow.
have
a lovely
evening
