grin & bearis
playing in my ears
(one of my
all time
favorites),
it's been
that kind of week.
has it been
that kind
of week
for you?
well
i already
broke
my daily post goal.
this week
and it's
only wednesday.
tuesday
got away
from me.
. . . . .

i am happy
with my
little
jes hutchbear...
i finished him
waiting
for our
very delayed train
going home
to dc.
mr bear
was earless
for most
of the weekend
{i was trying to
figure
out to
alter the ears}
so
i took to
calling him
hochi the earlessand
he pestered
grub
the whole
trip up
to nyc
on the train.
i also mailed
off
chapter 10
of the
the owen chase project.
i will only
get one more
off to
my brotherat
penlandbecause
we pick him up
this weekend!
i still have
over a hundred
chapters to go...
have you
guessed the book?
no telling johnny,
okay!?
i finished
some purses
last night
so
more stuff
to show
tomorrow...
some day
i'll get around
to scanning
the stack
of polaroids
for
polaroid.a.day.
have a
lovely
wednesday-
the week's
halfway
over-
yikes!
xo

the last
day of
the month!
this month
moved twice
as fast as
i did...
i am still
running
to stand
in place.
grub and i
went to nyc
this weekend
to volunteer
and taste
at
pinot days...
anyone
who knows grub
knows
how obsessed
he is with
all things
food
and
all things wine.
we stayed
with
our
dear
seattlite
friends
saul & kristen
in brooklyn...
saturday
saul
took
us for
a walk
through
the
ruins
of brooklyn

on the way
to
sauls's studio

his work
is such
an inspiration
to me.
. . . . .
after much
wine drinking
and
a midnight
train home,
i am beat
today...
i did get some
knitting
and
sewing
done
(more on that
tomorrow)
and
chapter 9of the
the owen chase project.
(johnny- do NOT look)
hope you all
had
a lovely weekend.
my goal is
to post
every day
this week.
we'll see how
that
goes.
xo

trying to get
projects
off my desk...
. . . . .
i was just
noticing
that i have
a lot
of broken
things
lying around.

i always
take forever
to fix things...
it's symptomatic
of my life.
i break things
then
i dread
fixing them.
. . . . .
chapter 8for the
the owen chase project.
(johnny- do NOT look)
mostly drawing
this time.
. . . . .
purses
mailed off
(photos
soon)...
. . . . .
still have
tons of
polaroids
to scan for
polaroid.a.day...
. . . . .
and
a little
bit of
mail cheer...
a bug bunny

from
dawn.
. . . . .
and lastly
a vessel
for
carson's
vessel wednesday.

one of my
favorite
bowls by
anna stoysich.
have a lovely
wednesday
evening.
xo
Methinks that in looking at things spiritual,
we are too much like oysters
observing the sun through the water,
and thinking that thick water [is] the thinnest of air.. . . . .
sorry to be
such a stranger
this past week.
it's been
an emotional
week.
in blacksburg
over the weekend
i was
overwhelmedby the
kindness
of the
communityand
comfortedby connecting
with old friends
and new ones
as we
shared storiesabout
our friend
jamie.
. . . . .
i have been
slowly
working
on what
i am calling
the owen chase project.

each chapter
of a book
illustrated
and mailed

to my
brother
johnny.
tomorrow
purses
and
more projects.
