like oysters

Methinks that in looking at things spiritual,
we are too much like oysters
observing the sun through the water,
and thinking that thick water [is] the thinnest of air.

. . . . .

sorry to be
such a stranger
this past week.
it's been
an emotional
week.

in blacksburg
over the weekend
i was
overwhelmed
by the
kindness
of the
community
and
comforted
by connecting
with old friends
and new ones
as we
shared stories
about
our friend
jamie.

. . . . .

i have been
slowly
working
on what
i am calling
the owen chase project.

each chapter
of a book
illustrated
and mailed

to my
brother
johnny.

tomorrow
purses
and
more projects.

I'm sorry gwen, this is just terrible, there isn't much any of us can say, I just hope that you and everyone who lost a loved one will heal with time. I'm glad you had a supportive community around you this past week.

I love this project for johnny. I will always be in awe with the connection b/t you and your family :)

"...we are too much like oysters"
such wonderful words to ponder upon.

So sorry for your loss... and so happy to hear of you being "comforted by connecting" with dear pals. So much for you to take on board in a short amount of time.

take care, g xo
(Your new project looks nothing short of great!)

Ginnie...

Hope yer doing ok....Am eagerly awaiting next chapter, and trying to keep up with responses, but haven't had alot of time in the evening to working on my pen and ink, due to trying to finish my "BIG ART" project so you can see it when you come....

I hope you can pass on my best to Stefi....
