life among boxes
where did
the week go?
it's been a
whirlwind...
here's the update:
hosting
our first thanksgiving
was a success...
some worked:
some slept:
some did
unnessasary
decorating:
and one
for for the birthday boy:
but then
life changed
quickly
and
we are now
living
among boxes...
from this:
to this:
fortunately
we had
two
amazing
houseguests
from ottawa
on their
way to mexico
who came
to our rescue
and helped us
pack!
more soon...
not sure when
but soon.

i love the chickie place mats. now they are probably packed in a box, the way my belongings should be but so flagrantly aren't. [ps for some reason the feed for this post didn't show up in my little live feeds thingie...]

Those place mats!! How fantastic are they? Your use of motifs is so good - simple but so well balanced. I am in awe!
Hope the box bit passes quickly with a minimum of fuss. I obviously have some kind of illness because although I hate packing up, I just love the unpacking, the chance to try everything in new places, sorting and making order.
I know you will be sad to leave your fabulous apartment, but I hope your new home provides you with a fresh playground.
i absolutely adore your site =)
I feel sad that you have to move from your beloved apartment, but you have lots of new wonderful memories to make in your new place and i look forward to reading all about them.
Good luck with the move.
A lovely Thanksgiving and great friends who help with the icky stuff...I am sorry that you have to move though. The pictures of the apartment and your descriptions have always been so charming. Hope the move goes smoothly!

From this to this... what a wonderful sequence of photos. Good luck with that move... and when you are settled LJ & I have a little something to post to you.
cheers, grache
Everything looked so beautiful. Good luck on the move, there is always something very stressful, yet cathartic about packing up your belongings and carrying them away. At least that's what I've always tried to convince myself of. xo
I just stumble dupon your blog and wanted to say hello and that you have a delightful space here. I love your polaroids....are you using 600 film or something different for them? Looking forward to visiting again! Happy Holidays!
hi gwen- good luck with the move. is your new place as beautiful as the old? although with your great taste, you will make it so. i'm from ottawa too, and the gentleman on the right looks incredibly familiar. what a small world!
