see how we are

it's been
a long time
since
i have been
away from
a computer
for days...
strange
how
we have
an
umbilical cord
attachment
to our laptops
nowadays...
but after
my exam
it is probably
good to take
a break...
but i miss
all of you
dear friends!

i haven't been
able to get
internet
or
cell reception
because
i have been
at sea ranch
in n. california

and touring
wine country

i know
you feel
so sorry
for me,
no?

before that
i visited
with lisa s.

how can
a person
be so
incredibly brilliant
and inspiring
and
so amazingly
sweet
and
generous
at the
same time?!
well,
not only
is she
all that
but
she is fun
as all heck...
if she lived
in my town
i have to
bribe her
to visit me
all the time
with cocktails,
polaroid film,
and
vintage coats.
come on
over lisa,

i would tell her
try my newest
autumn cocktail...
besides i found
the perfect
green vintage
coat for you
at
the village today!

i must invent
a teleport
for blog
friends
that live
in far away
places.

also,
i
had dinner
with lisa s.
and
lisa c.
and yes,
lisa c.
is just
as vibrant
and
fascinating
in person
as you all
imagine!
and
boy oh boy
does that
girl
have style!!!
her clothes
are like
her apartment-
amazing patterns-
vintage and bold-
perfectly put
together
with
extraordinary
style.
i felt a bit
shy (and dowdy)
next to these
amazing women...
a little
country bug
visiting
the stylish
city bugs.

meeting
blog friends
is a
strange experience-
i mean
it's
not often
(well,
at least for me)
that one meets
people
they have
gotten
to know
via blogs
and emails
but never
actually
talked to
or met.
i feel so shy
and
unsure of myself
(not very
typically me)...
one thing this
has taught me
is
to trust
my instincts...
those people
who seem
wonderful
and interesting
on their blogs
really are-
even more
so in real life.
the essence
of people
really does
come through...
no matter
how much
we
hide
of ourselves
on our blogs,
we really do
show
so much...
and although
that seems
darned scary
at times
it is
a fantastic thing
that really
culminates
when
you meet...
so now
you see
how we are.

more soon
xo

What an amazing trip. And I couldn't have put it better myself about meeting fellow bloggers. I think they know us better at times than the friends we see each day. Safe travels.
