i moved

the east coast.
nothing like
taking a nap
as the cool
breeze

the rain
comes through
the window
(and plenty of
droplets!).
makes me
think of

this weekend
i took a break
from this:
to enjoy this:
its monday
and i am
oh so tired
after picking up
grub in
the wee hours
of the morning
from union station.
i can't wait
until my
comprehensive
exam is
over
and
i can join grub
on
weekend jaunts
to NYC
for food and art
but
until then
i will have to
content myself
with
excursions
to
value village
and
frozen tofu
pot pies
while
i study.
but enough
dreariness...

I once lived in an old farm house in Eastern Kentucky. It had a tin roof and when it rained I always fell asleep listening to the applause of water on its surface.
