a route familiar

i was thinking
on my way home
yesterday evening
that
my route home
is now so familiar
after living here
for well over
a year...



but
it seems that
no matter
how long
i live here
and
no matter
how well
i speak french
i will always
feel like
an outsider.



for this reason
i wonder
if
i can ever
truly
call this place
my home.

funny,

it was
a prototype
of a
purse for
a very stylish architect.
