each week
i take a 6 minute
train ride
to my prenatal yoga
class in a little town
called auvernier.
there are
so many towns
in switzerland
where i
find myself
wondering
do people live here?
i just
can't imagine
what it's like
to live
every day
in such
a cute
little
idyllic town
by the lake
surrounded
by vineyards.

it was
an overcast day
and
the smell
of wine-making
was in the air-
that slight
pungency of
fermentation.

i wandered
around
taking
a few photos
before
my class
as
people went
about
their business
of trimming
the flowers
by the fountain,
putting out
their
featherbeds
to air,
and other
such
every day
tasks.

auvernier: chicken?

bon week-end!

These images are incredibly charming. I'm sure scouts seek such inspiration for film settings.

I wish I could visit quaint little villages! Beautiful photos. I am so enjoying your documentation of Switzerland life! (I may start up my blog again to document our next move...)
