milwaukee

me in the museum
(daily target in milwaukee)

last week
i was in
milwaukee
for
a meeting.

i honestly
knew nothing
of the city
(besides the
recently completed
milwaukee art museum)
but
i discovered
it was quiet
an charming
city

of riverwalks

milwaukee: riverwalk

of brew pubs

beer tasting

and
great
old

milwaukee old and "new"
shoe polish bldg.

new

saarinen war memorial
(saarinen war memorial)

and
newer architecture

milwaukee art museum: wings closed

milwaukee art museum: inside.
(milwaukee art museum)

but now
i am back
and
anxious
to get
things done
in both
art
and science
before
august comes
to a close...
{yikes}

i am excited
about
a little
collaborative
blog project
that
i will announce
on wednesday-
until then!

hope you
are having
a lovely week!

Drat! Our secret is out! ;)

My family is from Milwaukee and I went to high school in the area (I currently live in Madison). IMHO, it is a vastly underrated city, though that's not necessarily a bad thing (I have deep-seated fears that it will be discovered by hipsters and subsequently ruined forever!). Your pictures of it are wonderful! So glad you enjoyed yourself!

I really love that beer placemat. I hate when you get a beer sampler that tells you nothing about the beer!
