and we're voting

the facts
i always
wear
this deathcab tee
on voting day.

one great thing
about living in dc
is that
people are
really into politics-
in a good way
(usually).
most of the time,
most of the country
doesn't seem
to care
too much
about what
goes on
in the government.
but the capital
is full
of politicians,
lawyers,
NGOers,
and students.
people watch
debates
and elections
at all the bars
like sports.

it's pretty great.
we should care
a lot more.

i am glad
this primary
is getting
so much
attention.
people
are voting.

happy
super tuesday
to those
who get to
vote today!

. . . .

a little while
ago i saw
this amazing photo
by the lovely hanne
{she takes
stunning photos}
it's from
the noa noa catalog.

noa noa inspiration

so inspiring
(to others too)...
they are
not easy
to find in the us
but
by the sweet hanne
mailed me one

noa noa inspiration

noa noa inspiration

and included
a book
and
this wonderful piece!
thank you
so much
hanne!

. . .

i also
received
this book

crochet inspiration

from
my dear
friend
annemarie
in the mail.
she knew
i was
coveting it.
i want
to make
this so badly:

crochet puppets!

i need to get
better
at crochet!
many
xoxox
to annemarie
(miss you)!

what's
inspiring
you
this week?

Hmmm..that's a very good question Gwen, and it's very telling that I can't honestly answer it right now.I need to get inspired again.
By the way, as an Australian I still can't get over this whole non-compulsory voting thing;it seems so strange! :)

hi bug, so many goodies for you. i am devoted to the noa noa catalogues - they are so beautiful - although i tend to look ridiculous in their clothes.

there's a lot of anticipation and great interest in your super tuesday here.

inspired by dark tones, wool and wood.

inspired by this week: homedmade chocolate fudge, the thought of my mother's hands, a picture of a hot air balloon, the returning light, the beatles, tulips, the want of ochre tights, passion fruit. and so on.

i am also so excited about the record turnouts for the primary elections. there is something good in the air right now, i think... people coming out and voting and feeling like their vote actually means something. xox
