a few words . . . give-away™

hope you
all had
a lovely
easter
weekend!

i had
a nice
saturday
morning
tea with grub
(above)
and
worked on
letters
and packages
the rest
of the day.

sunday
i had a few
friends
over
for
afternoon tea
and
knitting...

now it's
monday
and i used up
all my
words
on
this post
on
sew green,
but i did
promise
a little
monday give-away™.

i tried to
give this away
a while back
but the person
claimed it
but never emailed me
her address...
so let's try again:

read
the guidelines
here,
please pay
shipping,
and don't
forget
to email me
{bugheart(at)gmail(dot)com}.

vintage lustroware ice bucket

1950s ice bucket.
same style
as ones
pictured
here
cute vintage barware.
i love it
but
i don't really
use it.
so i pass it
on to you.

i'll leave
you with
my monday photo
(from the archives)
for
handmaid's
color week...
when i think
of turquoise
i think of
the sea
and
the floor
of my brother's
old apartment.

more collages
and polaroids
tomorrow!

I love your handwriting :) I was admiring your tags when I was at Velouria today. So I posted a pic of the grey purse on flickr so you could see it!
I did take pics of the yellow one but I took it will my 35 mm so I will have to wait to develop them before I can show it off. It did turn out really cute though!

Glad you had such a nice weekend!

An entire day of letters and packages---sounds like fun.

I am spending every day elbow deep in dirt and every evening knee deep in paintings....

I love the first picture, the different shades of brown and the sharp contrast is beautiful. Love the turquoise floor and your tights :)

i love your turquoise pic with the pinky legs!

and cute birdy.

and happy shelf of vintage canisters, so colourful.

good to hear you are feeling better, no doubt it was the healing power of the cover of that AMAZING needlepoint for men book - groovy!

And the other one, wow, that is a real rainy day fun book, I would spend hours putting papers, fabrics, photo's magazines behind them. I used to do a diy version when i was studying textiles, but i'd have loved a real book for it.

Has the ice bucket been claimed yet? Are you in the mood for a postcard sent from your own quadrant? How 'bout the prospect of NO SHIPPING?
:)
I'm out of town for a few days, but I could take that vintage barware off your hands next week - it's kind of like keeping it in the family, right? the DC family that is.
