labor day give-away™

this past
friday
i didn't
have a car
or
my lab
thrifting partner
so
i didn't get
to
value village
[insert sob].
little did i know
that labor day
weekend
was
the weekend
to hit
the village-
so
my attempts
to go
on
saturday,
sunday
and
monday
were futile.
no village finds
for me
this weekend
[insert additional
sob].

this week
i am played
around
with my
polaroid
cameras
a little...

i am not
altogether
satisfied
with
the results.
i guess
i am in
a creative funk.
ever have
that happen
when life
gets the better
of you?

still no word
on my little
niece or nephew-
it's now
3 days
past the
due date!
any moment
now...
my brother
promises
i am on
autodial.

i am feeling
pretty
brain-dead
so here's
the
teeny-tiny
monday

the polaroids are fabulous - they make me long for a big plate of spicy tofu from the yenching palace and good company to share it with. like your dad! and you. [wink wink] i hope your new nephiece shows up soon!

Your polaroids are great, I love them too. And, do you have any idea what torture it was for me not to go to Value Village this past weekend?? I knew I would have my two muchkins with me, and knew it would be a madhouse, so I had to stay away. It hurt, though : )

Your polaroids are truly beautiful. I know that creative funk feeling. I find it hard to see the postive in anything I make when the funk rolls in. The funk will lift and soon you'll be seeing things with new eyes again :)

i think it's the funk talking.

oh well, that dress would be just my thing. but going to sleep early and waking up late doesn't really make for a good give-away catch.... maybe we'll have a good village friday this week! xo

I like the polaroids too...esp. the wall. I like the shadow you can see...neato! Hope the "fun" gets put back in the "funk" soon.
