felt-n-belch
yesterday
some
dc
stitch-n-bitchers
met
for our
very first
felt-n-belch.
i have been
wanting
to start one
for a while...
the union of
2 of
my favorite things:
felting
and
beer.
each week
i'll bring
a new pattern
and
each month
we'll meet
at my place
to felt
what we
knitted.
i picked
a bar
with
belgium beer
(my favorite)
and
a vintage
photobooth
so we could
take a
photo
each week.
. . . . .
it's wednesday
so time for
carson's
vessel wednesday
i have most
of my
smaller
vessels
in the
bathroom
to try to make
our otherwise
boring
bathroom
a little
more interesting.
a collection
of
{mostly} handmade
ceramics
from
over
the years.
one of
my favorites
is this old
vintage
chalice
i found
years ago
at a garage sale.
not sure
why
i am
so smitten
with it
but i am.
halfway
through
the week!
tomorrow
some art
and a purse
for sale.

oh - i'm smitten, too
wow what kind of civilised bar is this- that has a vintage photo booth in it?!
Fabulous photos! And i love the idea of Felt and belch.
love this idea for a felting group with beer!!!!!!!
And your bathroom sink with all of those gorgeous little vessels...fantastic!!! xx
felt + belch is brilliant. i am going to be doing some felting this weekend... perhaps i need to add beer to the mix too.
damn! too bad d.c. is a tad far away, this idea is AWESOME!
beer is one of my favorite things ever, and felting is something i've wanted to do for awhile.
those vessels are great :)
Your sink/bathroom looks far from boring.
Oh, to live on the east coast. Felting and beer? And a photobooth? Are you kidding me? A woman after my own heart...
Also... your beloved chalice is most likely by Bjorn Wiinblad -the potter/illustrator who was Jonathan Adler's biggest influence. Nice find.
You can google his name and there;s tns on eBay. He did the best posters as well.
You are one of the few people i know who keeps the bathroom clean enough to have something like a row of vessels in it. I am so jealous.
hmmm... i do like the beer part. not sure i'd have anything to felt, but it sure sounds like fun!
Oh, I love beer! And I love felting! Man I wish I could join the group. But I am happy to settle with pictures and reports of your good fun :)
After 3 years felt and belch has come true! Yay!
