a sultry late give-away™

sultry |ˈsəltrē|
adjective
( -trier , -triest )
1 (of the air or weather) hot and humid.
2 (of a person, esp. a woman)
attractive in a way
that suggests
a passionate nature.

remember
throw mama from the train?
son (aspiring writer): the night was hot....?
the night was humid...?
the night was hot and humid...?
(pause)
mama: the night was sultry, you idiot!!!

that's what
i always think of
when
i hear the word
sultry.
now i really know
what
that word
means.

so i am late
but here is my
sultry
late give-away™
.

please check
the great monday
give-away™ guidelines

before you claim
an item...
and
make sure to
email me
bugheart(at)gmail(dot)com
with your address!

as i am
a broke
grad student...
please
pay
shipping
.
shipping is
usually
under $3
within
the usa.

today's give-away™:

1. vintage highwave radio taken!

okay it's cool
so i bought it...
but
it's static-y
and i
currently
don't have
the patience
to see if it's
just
homeland security
interfering
with my signal.
i am sure
it will work
wonderfully
for some
much more
patient person.
think how stylish
you'll be
with
your highwave radio
blasting music
as you lay
by some
large
(or chlorinated)
body of water.

2. vintage pink scale taken!

another value village
purchase.
it's cute.
it's pink.
and it's
called
the counselor.
too perfect
for a scale!
but
my bathroom
has a
blue-theme
and
my bedroom
has a
green-theme
and
frankly
i don't want
to know
my weight
since i am
sitting on
my butt all day
writing and reading
and eating
sour patch kids
as of late.

3. vintage green jantzen skort taken!

another
vintage janzen skort
that's oh so green.
for playing tennis
or biking
around town.
this skirt has
a few lighter green
spots on it.
waist: ~28-30"

hope there's
something
you like!
great monday give-away™.
i look forward to
your postcards.

until thursday...
xo

oooh! The pink scale is so cool. I think my teenage daughters would love it-I don't want to encourage weight stuff but.... a pink scale is too hard to pass up.I'd love to take that sultry seductress off your hands. Thanks.

I love that collage! The other night my friend Doug was over & he saw the collage you sent to me. He kept staring at it, but didn't comment. Finally he was like "uh, Jess, what is this?" :) I said, "Isn't it fabulous?" He said he was oddly drawn to it. Duh!

Can I have the radio. I think that with a little care and contact cleaner the static should go away. Another wonderful collage btw.

I also just discovered your blog through another blog (can't remember which, too much clicking around!) and I adore it. I've never participated in one of these giveaways but can I claim that pretty green skirt? It's so... pretty and green!

What happens next?

I am totally impressed that you quoted from "Throw Mama From the Train". Amazing!
I think the last and only time I saw that movie was in the theater when it came out.

Cheers!
