village friday ... mimosa!
thank you all
for your
sweet
birthday wishes!
i don't want to
deceive you
though...
my birthday
isn't
until the 28th.
i am just
getting
early presents
and parties.
i am still 31...
for 4 more days
anyway.
friday
was a busy
day but
i did get to
value villlage
for a quickie...
it was
very crowded
and
not such
a fantastic
day of finds...
see what you
think:
here are my finds for friday:
1. children's frame
i thought this frame
was very cute...
although
there is some
strange
unexplainable
paint deterioration.
look at this
cute image:
2. piano books
did anyone else
have to take
piano like me?
remember these
a dozen a day
practice books?!
that takes me back!
i will use it for
collage
as i was
always bad
at practicing
the piano...
besides
i have moved on
to the ukulele.
3. pink tee
cute vintage
70s or 80s top.
i need roller
skates
to match.
4. transister radio
eek.
i am developing
a radio fetish!
5. twine for meat preparation
how could i resist
twine
for meat preparation?
i will us it
for gift tags
and
wrapping
presents.
6. 50s hairpin table
it's in my office.
i have been
looking
for a table
for that spot
for a while.
that
was it
for
village friday.
now on to
my package
from
dacia!
i was too excited
to take photos
of her lovely wrapping...
but it was so perfectly
wrapped and presented...
i love that!
dacia
and i
did a little swap...
she sent me
one of her
wonderful bears,
mimosa,
and
she also
made me
this fantastic
bug wallet!
she was worried
that her bug
wasn't up
to par
for
an entomologist
but
i think it
is fantabulous!
dacia
does beautiful work
and i have
admired it
for a while...
her bears
have such
a perfect
weight
and
size...
i feel like
a little girl
of 31 3/4
carrying her bear.
you too
can buy
her beautiful things
here!
also
we
are swapping
papers
(beautiful!)
and
she included
the tags
from the
gift tag swap:
you can see
all the different
types of tags
close-up
here!
i must say
it was a very
fun swap...
the tags
are
fantastic!
thank you
so so much
dacia!
your package
is
on the way!
hope
you
are having
a
lovely
weekend.
xo.

Mimosa is awesome. And the papers look cool too. And meat twine - what every girl needs!
Yes - I had those books too in piano lessons - totally brought me back. Oh, I hate practicing too and hated the pressure of those lessons even more.
I'm so glad you liked the package. I also played piano and just the look of that daily dozen bok made my stomach turn. oh how I hated practising!
